Sorry for the spelling errors … the iphone keyboard is wayyyy too small.

That said, glad you liked it. I’ve been revisiting Terkel over the past few weeks – a uniquely American voice, a voice of inclusion regardless of color, creed and economic class. A man who built his career on listening and seeking to understand.

We need more people like Studs.

Thank you for this. I’m going to share it. Just listened to Caroline Myss talk on “Navigating Hope”. As a nation, we are stuck in narcissism. It’s gone on much too long. Desperately need to evolve and join community or the boat is going to sink.

I love your writing style. I crave it,in fact – I am too overt in my sarcasm. And hate that.

My experience at a Japanese funeral – my father-in-law’s – this was by far the deepest cultural experience I have had, for my 17+ years in Japan.

the bonito does not look like a fish. My hubby and son are debating. I always believed it to be a fish, but it doesn’t look like it, looks more like wood in the pictures. Yet you can google bonito, and they come up with different pictures of fish. I am confused.
